Now Shreyas Iyer is expected to captain Punjab Kings in IPL 2025, while Rishabh Pant is likely to lead Lucknow Super Giants. Leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal also dominated the auction, which was bought by Punjab Kings for Rs 18 crore. On the other hand, former Lucknow Super Giants captain KL Rahul will now play for Delhi Capitals, who was bid for Rs 14 crore.
Let us tell you that this time Rishabh Pant, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, and Faf du Plessis were not retained by their teams. All of them captained their respective IPL teams in the last season of IPL. But the big thing is that the old IPL teams of these players could include them in their teams again by using the Right to Match (RTM) card.
