Millie Bobby Brown said her friendship with Enola Holmes 2 costar Henry Cavill comes with “terms and conditions”, unlike her relationship with her Stranger Things cast mates, which has “no boundaries”.
Millie Bobby Brown and Henry Cavill’s friendship comes with “healthy” parameters.
The 18-year-old actress told Deadline about working with the 39-year-old Superman actor in the Enola Holmes films, in which she plays the younger sister of his famous detective Sherlock. Brown said her relationship with him is “more mature” than her bond with Stranger Things cast members, Noah Schnapp and Charlie Heaton.
“It’s different because I grew up with Noah and Charlie. I met them when I was 10. So, for me, it feels like your classmates,” she said. “And with Henry, it feels like a real adult relationship. Like a really good friendship, a really healthy one. One where we have terms and conditions.”
“I know Henry. He has terms and conditions with me. I’m not allowed to ask about his personal life,” Brown added. “It’s like, ‘Millie, shut up. No.’ And I’m like, ‘Got it.’ Whereas with Stranger Things Kids, it’s different. There are no boundaries because it feels like we’re all siblings.”

She added, “But with Henry, he’s very strict with me, which I appreciate.”
Enola Holmes 2 director Harry Bradbeer told Deadline about seeing Cavill and Brown build their sibling chemistry for the film series.
“In a way, Henry, like Sherlock, has a very logical approach but is learning more and more to have fun and be spontaneous. And of course, Miley and he have this very interesting, fun dynamic where they Always lean on each other. More,” Bradbeer said. “And Millie ticked her off a little bit and surprised her. And he goes with it.”
Brown said, “He does. It’s shocking because he doesn’t have a sister. So, for him, it has to be completely different. I have a sister, a brother, and an older brother, so I am so used to it.” That’s kind of the dynamic. I had to apply a lot to my relationship with Henry offscreen and onscreen and take him out of his comfort zone.”
“Henry and I both don’t have younger sisters and I would prefer younger sisters, which probably reflects our joy in working with people like Miley,” Bradbeer said.
