    IPL 2025 Date Announced: IPL 2025 date revealed before the auction

    The mega auction of the Indian Premier League – IPL 2025 is to be held on 24 and 25 November in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. 574 players have been shortlisted for this mega auction. 1574 players had registered for this auction, but one thousand players were excluded from the final list of the IPL Mega Auction. Anyway, out of the 574 shortlisted players, only a maximum of 204 players will be sold. This time a total of Rs 641 crore is left in the purse of all 10 teams.

    This mega auction has brought a big update regarding the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). IPL 2025 will start on March 14 and the final match will be played on May 25. The full schedule of IPL matches will be released later.

    IPL Mega Auction 2025

    In the list of 574 players shortlisted for the IPL auction, there are 81 players whose base price is Rs 2 crore. While the base price of 27 players has been kept at Rs 1.5 crore. Apart from these, players with base prices of Rs 1.25, 1 crore, 75 lahks, 50 lahks, 40 lakhs, and 30 lakhs are also included in the list.

    This time big players like Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul, Mohammad Shami, Shreyas Iyer, Ravichandran Ashwin, and Yuzvendra Chahal will participate in the upcoming auction. All of them have also listed themselves for Rs 2 crore. While the list of foreign players includes stars like Glenn Maxwell, Mitchell Starc, Jos Buttler, David Warner, James Anderson, Trent Boult, and  Faf du Plessis.

    Punjab Kings will have the highest purse of Rs 110.5 crore in the IPL 2025 auction. Punjab has retained only two players (Shashank Singh and Prabhsimran Singh) before the auction. On the other hand, Royal Challengers Bangalore has Rs 83 crore left in its purse, which is the second highest. Rajasthan Royals will have the lowest purse (Rs 41 crore) in the auction.
