A former University of Surrey student faces an attempted murder charge after allegedly shooting a university staff member with a crossbow on campus.

Surrey Police said the incident happened on Thursday at Manor Park Student Village in Guildford. A campus safety officer in his 50s was injured by a crossbow. Know more

The court remanded Almunthir Daqamah in custody, and he is due to appear before Guildford Magistrates Court.
