Akshay Kumar, Govinda, and Paresh Rawal are three very strong names in Bollywood comedy. In 2006, when these three came together in Priyadarshan’s film ‘Bhagam Bhag’, it created a great buzz in the theatres. ‘Bhagam Bhag’ not only proved to be a big hit, but TV and memes also made this film iconic.

Akshay Kumar is planning a sequel to ‘Bhagam Bhag.
According to a report in Pinkvilla, Akshay Kumar is now planning to make a sequel of ‘Bhagam Bhag’ with Paresh Rawal and Govinda. A source close to the development said that Sarita Ashwin Varde of Roaring River Productions has bought the rights of ‘Bhagam Bhag’ from Shemaroo Entertainment and wants to make a sequel with Akshay. The source said, ‘Hera Pheri, Bhagam Bhag and Garam Masala are three of Akshay Kumar’s most special films. And he has already sorted the franchise rights for ‘Hera Pheri’ and ‘Bhagam Bhag’. The sequel is currently in the writing stage with new writers.
Akshay wants to work again with Govinda and Paresh Rawal, who appeared in ‘Bhagam Bhaag’ with him. ‘It will be a great treat for the cinema-going audience. The plan is to prepare a script that does justice to the legacy of the work of these three. Scripting work has begun and work has begun on an idea for ‘Bhagam Bhag 2’. Akshay will join hands with another producer for the film and its details are kept under wraps for now.
Bhagam Bhag 2 will hit the floors next year
If everything goes according to plan, Bhagam Bhag 2 will be on the floors by the end of 2025, and the film will hit the big screen in 2026. The name of the director will be decided after the scripting is complete. Talking about Akshay Kumar, he is currently shooting for ‘Housefull 5’. Along with this, he will be seen in ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ and ‘Bhoot Bangla’. His film ‘Jolly LLB 3’ with Arshad Warsi is also ready for release in April 2025.
