- In “Deadpool 3,” which will be released in theaters Sept. 6, 2024, Hugh Jackman will join Ryan Reynolds in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Deadpool’s first appearance as a Disney property is set to be Reynolds’ and Jackman’s debut together as the “merc with a mouth.”

As Jackman walks into the shot, Reynolds asks, “Would you like to play Wolverine one more time?”.
Jackman replies, “Sure, Ryan.”.
Prior to Disney’s announcement, Deadpool was slated for a standalone movie, but its place in the MCU was unclear.
After Disney acquired 20th Century Fox in 2019, several comic book properties are set to be released in films over the next few years, including Deadpool and the X-Men.
As a result of their R ratings, Reynolds’ Deadpool films generated more than $780 million worldwide. Both “Deadpool” and “Deadpool 2′′ generated more than $780 million worldwide. Since the rest of the MCU filmography is rated PG-13 or lower, Disney has probably agreed to let “Deadpool 3” be rated.
