Grace Stanke, a nuclear engineering student at the University of Wisconsin, played the violin and impressed a panel of judges with remarks about nuclear power to earn the crown.

During the segment, Stanke said she was "excited" to have the opportunity to discuss meaningful issues and represent "what women can do" as Miss America.
