I was enjoying myself because I loved doing it.” He made a name for himself by completing songs in one take.

The trio was known as Polo Club before being named Migos and released their debut mixtape, Juug Season, in 2011. The group broke through in 2013 with the mixtape Y.R.N. (Young Rich Niggas) and its infectious lead single “Versace.” After the original went viral online, a signal boost from the Drake remix pushed the song higher on the Billboard charts. It later helped define the decade. During their heyday, the group was known for the distinctive Migos flow, a heavy rap rhythm over a triplet pattern.
