Best skincare routine for women in their 30s tips
Although I have a set skincare routine, I don’t just rely on products to keep my skin strong. Mother Nature is definitely my friend when it comes to fighting wrinkles. Here are three lifestyle changes you need to adopt before turning to face creams.
Serums and Creams
When talking about skincare, don’t forget the other parts of your body! Anti-aging creams are a great way to maintain youthful skin.
Hydration and sleep
Drinking water helps your body more than you think: digestion, circulation, and mood. Add “healthy skin” to that list. Your skin, like any other organ, is made up of cells. Cells need water to conserve and replace fluids lost from daily activities. I make sure to drink 4-8 cups of water a day in addition to using a moisturizer to keep my skin hydrated.
Sleep is not only essential for functioning but also for your skin. Lack of sleep causes a decrease in blood flow to the skin around your face, resulting in dull skin. Those circles under my eyes didn’t happen on their own! People who sleep less also recover more slowly from skin ailments such as burns and cuts.
Vitamins A, C, and E
This trio of vitamins helps build and maintain collagen, the main structural protein in your skin. Collagen keeps your skin tight and firm, resulting in fewer wrinkles and a more youthful appearance. Orange vegetables such as carrots and sweet potatoes are rich in vitamin A, which helps restore damaged collagen. Dark leafy vegetables such as cabbage and other green produce such as avocado and kiwifruit are rich in vitamin E, which slows free radicals that cause wrinkles. Citrus fruits are rich in vitamin C, which helps your skin heal quickly from scratches and scrapes.

Morning skincare routine for women in their 30s
The cleanser
Every morning I start with a cleanser. Apart from removing makeup and getting rid of dead skin and dirt, it also helps unclog pores and prevent acne. I keep my fragrance free so my sensitive skin doesn’t get red and itchy. Cleansers are gentle and perfectly suited for all skin types.
The Toner
Next comes a toner. What is toner, you ask? Before my sensitive skin routine, I had no idea what it was. Think of toner as water, but packed with antioxidants that help fight skin diseases and lesions (eg, rosacea). The toner removes dead cells for plumper, silky skin. I use a toner right after my cleanser to rehydrate my skin because sometimes cleansers can strip away too much moisture. After using the cleanser, use a toner once a day. I love rose water; they immediately leave a fresh and wonderful feeling!
The Serum
Face serums have a very specific function in a very specific order. The serum is used only after using the cleanser and toner. During the time between using cleanser and moisturizer, your pores are at their largest. This makes serums the perfect agent to penetrate deep into your pores and deliver nutrients directly. Although I don’t need anything too aggressive to fight wrinkles, I use a vitamin C-rich serum to boost collagen production in my 30s. Use the serum twice a day, in the morning after toner and before bed.
Daylight cream
Once I get to this point in my routine, I’m focusing on all the external factors that can wreak havoc on my skin. The biggest culprit is the sun’s UV rays. Next comes the day cream. Daylight cream should be light with an SPF of at least 30 (30 times your skin’s natural UV protection) to protect your skin from the sun’s rays. Look for products that protect against UVA/UVB rays. Use a day cream once a day whenever you plan to go out on a sunny day.
Eye Cream
Next is the cream. The under-eye area is the first to wrinkle, and eye bags are also a common occurrence. Starting eye cream early develops good beauty habits. Even if you’re not treating visible wrinkles, it hydrates the skin to lift it up, so wrinkles are less visible as you age. Use eye cream once a day.
Night skincare routine for women in their 30s
Ok, so it’s the end of a long day and you’re finally backed home. Time to prepare your skin to plump up during your beauty sleep! Here’s what you need to do before you hit the sack.
Cleanser, tonic, and serum
Remember when I said you need to cleanse and use a serum twice a day? Use a cleanser and then a serum to start your nighttime skin routine. It helps to get rid of makeup and other impurities that you pick up during the day.
Night cream
Once I wash off all my makeup and apply a cleanser and serum, I use a night cream. The night cream helps with the diffuse redness, broken capillaries, enlarged pores, and loose skin that start in your 30s during those long days out in the outside world. A day cream can help prevent more of these blemishes, but a night cream can heal them.
A once-a-week best skincare routine for women in their 30s
Masks and peels
These two agents may sound and look similar, but they have different purposes. Both are designed to cover your entire face and help rejuvenate your skin. But how are they different?
Mask: I use an exfoliating mask 1-2 times a week. In your 30s, increasing cell turnover is really important, and a weekly and bi-weekly mask does the trick. But don’t overdo it, as some masks can irritate your skin due to the chemicals in the mask. But don’t worry! As long as you are only applying the mask 1-2 times a week, the chemicals are harmless. A mild chemical exfoliation normalizes the skin’s moisture barrier so it is better able to retain water and keep your skin moisturized.
Peels: Use them only once a week. Peels reduce pore size and remove dead skin and dirt like a boss. That means you can win like a boss next week too.
This skincare routine is every day! It may seem like a lot, but the results are definitely worth it. Now that you’re armed with this information, you can banish wrinkles in your 30s with your skincare routine!
